Formal Declaration of the Repudiation and Banishment of Devyn Christopher Gillette
BE IT KNOWN, that on the fifth day of June in the year two-thousand and nineteen, a Council comprised of thirty Third Degree Initiates of the Blue Star Tradition of Wicca was assembled; representing the Covens of Hearthfire, North Star, Obsidian, Polaris, Raven Star, Sapphire, Serenity, Spiral Tor, Starlight, Star Song, Summer Oak, Vela, Wellspring, White Oak, and Willow Moon Fire; a majority of the active Covens of the Tradition; and six independent Third Degree Initiates of the Tradition.
The purpose of this Council was to review allegations of physical, verbal, and emotional abuse made against DEVYN CHRISTOPHER GILLETTE, a Third Degree Initiate and Elder, also known to the Tradition of Blue Star as LORD ROBIN∴; to determine the facts and circumstances surrounding those alleged acts of abuse; to determine whether or not a preponderance of the evidence supported that those acts did occur in fact; and to determine the consequences that should arise from those alleged acts.
On the fifth day of July, in the year two-thousand and nineteen, after a month of careful deliberation and discussion, the following RESOLUTION was made in Council, with five abstentions noted:
WHEREAS, this Council has unanimously determined that the allegations made against LORD ROBIN∴ are supported by the evidence at hand; that egregious and repeated acts of verbal, physical, and emotional abuse against other members of the Tradition, his Coven, his and other students, and the Craft as a whole, did occur in plain fact on myriad and divers occasions since the year he was Initiated to the First Degree, nineteen-hundred and ninety-one; that he has used his Degree and Title in the Tradition of Blue Star to facilitate and excuse those acts of abuse and; that he has shown no signs of remorse, correction, or acknowledgment of these acts of abuse, in spite of continuous requests to do so;
WHEREAS, this Council has unanimously determined that LORD ROBIN∴, as a result of the aforementioned acts of verbal, physical, and emotional abuse, can not in any form or fashion be considered by us to be a Proper Person;
WHEREAS, this Council has unanimously determined that LORD ROBIN∴ has been and remains a clear and present danger to the Priesthood, Neophytes, and Dedicants of the Tradition, the Tradition of Blue Star itself, and the Craft as a whole;
THEREFORE we, the undersigned Third Degree Initiates of the Tradition of Blue Star, representing Elders of the Tradition, and the Covens of Polaris, Raven Star, Sapphire, Serenity, Spiral Tor, Summer Oak, Vela, Wellspring, and Willow Moon Fire; with due acknowledgment that we, the undersigned, possess no power to compel or command any other Coven or Tradition of the Wica to accept or heed the following and; with due reverence to our responsibility and the sacred trust placed in our care by our Brothers and Sisters of the Craft, by the Tradition, and by the Gods; do hereby decree with heavy heart and spirit:
BE IT RESOLVED;
THAT we, the undersigned, declare DEVYN CHRISTOPHER GILLETTE to be henceforth banished from all Circles that we shall officiate; nor shall we attend any Circle at which he shall be made to be welcome; THAT we, the undersigned, unequivocally declare that DEVYN CHRISTOPHER GILLETTE, being an Improper Person, is unfit to ever again teach, or to perform Elevations, Rites of Passage, or Initiations, in the Tradition of Blue Star;
THAT we, the undersigned, hereby formally renounce, repudiate, and disavow, all Degree and Title of DEVYN CHRISTOPHER GILLETTE in the Tradition of Blue Star. We declare in no uncertain terms, that in our eyes, he is no longer a Priest of this Tradition, nor a Brother of the Craft, in any form or fashion; that this individual shall nevermore be known to us as LORD ROBIN∴, by the titles of High Priest and Witch, Priest and Witch, Neophyte, or Dedicant, within the Tradition of Blue Star, and; that he shall be known to us in this life, only by the title of COWAN;
THAT we, the undersigned, declare that henceforth no vouch or assurance of Proper Personhood, nor of Degree or Title in the Tradition of Blue Star, shall ever issue forth from us for DEVYN CHRISTOPHER GILLETTE in this life, and that any previous vouch and assurances of same are hereby revoked, and;
THAT we, the undersigned, formally and without reservation, recognize and accept all individuals Initiated by DEVYN CHRISTOPHER GILLETTE, prior to the date of this decree, as valid Initiates of the Tradition, be they themselves willing and worthy, and; we likewise affirm that any recipients of the Rites of Dedication or Neophyte by his hands remain similarly recognized. We, the undersigned, do not take this action lightly, nor with any joy in our hearts. We do only that which we must do, and can do in no other way.
As a wart from flesh, DEVYN CHRISTOPHER GILLETTE has been cut out from our Spirit.
No longer joined in love or trust, he is parted from our Circle forevermore. When the water stinks, we must break the dam; in love have we broken it.
May the Gods Preserve the Craft. So Mote It Be.

Having been made duly aware of the decision made by the above signed Third Degree Initiates of the Tradition of Blue Star; having been provided with transcripts of this Council’s deliberations, and its supporting evidence; and on the basis of extensive personal knowledge of the aforementioned behavior; Tzipora Katz, also known as Lady Branwen∴, 3° High Priestess and Elder of the Tradition of Blue Star (Retired), being DEVYN CHRISTOPHER GILLETTE’s initiator, by affixing her signature below, formally supports this declaration; renounces and revokes any previous vouch of DEVYN CHRISTOPHER GILLETTE; and acknowledges, assents, and concurs with the above repudiation of Degree and banishment from the Tradition of Blue Star, SIGNED;
